How To Store
Our lamb mince is delivered fresh in an insulated box. They are butchered fresh to order and will arrive with a 7+ days shelf life (including the day of delivery). We recommend for these to be stored below 4 degrees or alternatively, you can pop them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
How To Cook
We Recommend:
Instructions:
- Heat the Oil:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Cook the Onions and Garlic:
- Add the finely chopped onion to the pan and sauté for about 5 minutes, until it becomes soft and translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Cook the Lamb Mince:
- Add the lamb mince to the pan, breaking it up with a wooden spoon or spatula.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mince is browned all over.
- As the lamb cooks, it will release fat. You can either drain the excess fat from the pan if you prefer a leaner dish or leave it for added richness.
- Season and Add Herbs/Spices:
- Season the lamb mince with salt and pepper to taste.
- If desired, add fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme, or spices like cumin or paprika, and cook for an additional minute to let the flavors blend.
- Serve:
- The lamb mince is now ready to use in your recipe! You can serve it over rice, in tacos, mixed with pasta, or as part of a more complex dish like shepherd's pie.
